CONCEPT

A clumsy, ambitious lawyer (Akshay Kumar) finds himself in a battle with a ruthless advocate after making an innocent mistake.

REVIEW

My wish has been granted. I can finally see a small light at the end of the tunnel. 3 good films in a row is something I never expected. At first I doubted whether this is any better than first Jolly LLB as the intensity of the comedy is reduced quite a bit and a good majority of the scenes are done in a very serious atmosphere. But after watching the whole movie, I achieved full clarity. This movie should not be compared with the 2013 Jolly LLB even though the film acknowledges that characters from 2013 Jolly LLB exists and few of them are in the movie and even Arshad Warsi character is glimpsed at in a small scene when the judge sees Akshay's name is also Jolly. This should be viewed as it's own separate entity and that is what I will do.

Since this movie is still in theaters, I will not spoil any scenes by referring what happens in both halves of the movie so I'll try to keep this as short as possible.

I admire this movie to the core. The performance was great, songs were excellent. Every small negatives I had from the 2013 Jolly LLB has been improved here and I'm glad to see that it worked out so well. Though the case didn't have the same energy as Arshad Warsi vs Boman Irani case, it still managed to give a thrill and immersed with more knowledge about reality. The characters were good and supportive and added a lot to the movie with what they had. Huma Qureshi as Pushpa Pandey (Akshay's wife) was something new to see and it was great. I hope that she gets more chances in good movies. 

In conclusion, I loved this movie. It does remind you of the first Jolly LLB movie and the execution of each scene was done very well. The atmosphere of the movie suits well with the story and you will be intrigued as to how Akshay Kumar will win this case. For those who have not watched it, this is one movie you should not miss.
