REVIEW

What I heard was true, this film has some really fantastic effects and great cinematography. This film is wonderfully shot and edited. You can really tell the hard work the film crew put into the released product. However, everything else falls flat.

The first half mostly deals with lifestyle of Ajay Devgan. He comes across a Bulgarian beauty played by Erika Kaar during one of his trekking guides and falls in love with her. He f*cks her without marriage and she becomes pregnant. Thinking the baby wold be an obstacle for whatever she wanted to do with her life, she gives her to Ajay Devgan and leaves to Bulgaria. The infant now a 10 - 12 year old girl played by Abigail Eames is a mute girl with good mountain climbing skills. After an earthquake, Abigail Eames finds letters and a picture of her mother in the rubble and desires to see her. Ajay Devgan initially refuses but eventually gives in. They go to Bulgaria and begins the search, Ajay Devgan saves a boy from child trafficking, Abigail Eames gets kidnapped and rest is how he rescues her.

I didn't expect much from the child actress so her bland, one emotion (whiny little bitch emotion) and a stupid mind performance didn't bother me that much. What did bother me the most was the performance of the other cast. None of them added any emotion to their character. It felt like they were getting o bored that they just wanted to get this over with. That may not have been the intention but that was the net result. Even Ajay Devgan falls prey to this. The film is directed by him yet he shows no passion or emotion to his character except in the climax fight. This was so disappointing. Even the action, initially was very interesting and immersive and practical-ish, but the second half action scenes becomes this Mission Impossible shit. This story is similar to the Taken movie but the action is not as over the top as that film.

However, amongst all this negative factors, there are some positive things that are very enjoyable throughout. The visuals are stunning. The cinematography is excellent. Shaky Cam is used effectively and the right amount. Dialogue is great. Story is immersive and gripping. Special Effects are fantastic.

In conclusion, despite the flaws of  the film, I couldn't hate it as there are few factors that I legitimately liked in the film. It's basically harmless and more interesting than Ae Dil Hai Mushkil movie. So I recommend everyone to watch it minimum once. It's not good but it's not bad either. There definitely is more good in the overall movie so this is one Ajay Devgan movie that needs to be watched.
