REVIEW

I very much enjoyed this movie despite its few noticeable flaws which I will get to in a minute. Dhruva Sarja and Radhika Pandit gave a good performance and they carried this movie as most of the movie focuses on them. The songs are enjoyable but average. The comedy was executed very well. I loved this scene specifically, when Anjali’s friends say “He (Dhruva Sarja) looks like a rowdy” to Anjali after getting just a glimpse of him. I was surprised to hear that line (for some reason) and I laughed my ass off. There is a lot of entertainment value in this movie and I love it.

The first flaw I noticed (and anyone with eyes and ears will notice) were the sound effects. It was definitely out of sync especially during the action scenes. Carelessness is one thing I despise in movies so I was enraged upon noticing it as I enjoyed the product as a whole a lot. There was also this specific scene where Anjali is kidnapped and they are currently at traffic signal. Ashok recognises Anjali’s yell after both of them drove in the opposite direction on a noisy as fuck roadway.

The second flaw I found was the unnecessary love triangle with Paddu as it doesn’t much to the main story. It’s very what the final outcome will be so this is without a doubt pointless to the main story. Also of the 3 action scenes only the action scene taking place after the traffic light scene seemed to affect the story. The other 2 felt unnecessary as they could have used the scenes to better develop Ravi Shankar as Appaji Gowda’s character. Appaji Gowda’s character was very much underplayed. He had 2 to 3 scenes maximum and he basically does nothing throughout the movie. He becomes a messenger in the climax but in all honesty, you could cut him out of the movie and it would make no difference.

Despite everything, Bahaddur is a very enjoyable movie overall. I found it hard to rate such a movie. The experience I had with Bahaddur was similar to one I had with Telugu movie “Raja The Great” where the movie was full of noticeable flaws but I still found myself enjoying the final product.

In conclusion, Bahaddur has a very entertaining story with good character interactions, even though some of the characters were underplayed. There are very noticeable flaws in the movie but the product overall has good entertainment value. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone who likes movies, especially Kannada movies, will like this movie.
