REVIEW

After the recent disappointing films of Hrithik Roshan ie Krrish 3Bang Bang! and Mohenjo Daro, he managed to impress the audience and me with Kaabil. I haven't seen a revenge story this good since his Agneepath movie. It managed to immerse me with the capabilities of a determined blind man.

The first half is the light hearted stuff. Guy meets girl, falls in love and gets married. But the setup to the rape scene was a bit rushed. Like 2 scenes with the rapist villain and next scene is rape. I disliked that. But the scenes afterwards were tempting as we are left to think as to how will the blind couple deal with this situation and what will happen to them. The reason for her suicide was even more intriguing. I don't want to spoil that but it was very impactful. The intermission scene is Hrithik Roshan going to the police station and challenging the police. It's not a spoiler for those who seen the trailer, it's more or less the same dialogue.

The second half is suspenseful as fuck. How he murders everyone is so cool and he doesn't kill them the normal way. He gets creative and uses his voice and science to ensure his victory. The fight scenes were so cool that I wanted to see them again. The second half is where the shit gets real. It also instills a morality that "Don't ever fuck with a blind man. Especially when he has the capability of Hrithik Roshan in this movie".

The songs were very nice to listen to. The segue was good. "Haseeno Ka Deewana" song was unnecessary and was just an excuse to bring in Urvashi Rautela (special appearance in song). The performances of Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam was outstanding as this is a very difficult role but I never got the doubt. They seemed like true blind people. Hence their performance was outstanding.

In conclusion, Kaabil is a very worthy movie. I liked it 98% of the time. Considering his previous disappointing films ie Krrish 3Bang Bang! and Mohenjo Daro, this film is a very big step up. There is nothing more to say except watch it.
