REVIEW

Let me get one thing clear. This is not the true story of Raman Raghav though that would have been better to watch. This is a very interesting film but I hate the way it's executed in chapters like watching a book. I hate it when films do that hence I hated the execution of Buddha in a Traffic Jam as well. I just dislike it when the movie is done via chapters.

Since this movie is done via chapters I can't spoil the first half and second half indirectly. So I'll sum up in a short review.

This is a very interesting movie though I was not invested enough like in Table No. 21. Many of the scenes felt boring and the songs were all over the place. The only interesting scenes were the murder scenes and the cast. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the role well and the rest of the cast were very compelling. Nawazuddin Siddiqui managed to put in the surprise to the twist though it was predictable as to when he found his soulmate (if you just think about it). Vicky Kaushal is the other essential half of the film but he kind of underplays the role. He seemed very one sided and doesn't deliver the performance as well as I hoped it be. He was very one dimensional in character and final act was very underplayed and unsatisfactory. He failed to give the maximum potential this character has. In my opinion, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's soulmate lacked the soul to be his mate.

Despite all the negatives, there were some positives too. The casting was good, story was interesting, the revelation was appealing. It's an average movie at the end that failed to engage me like other psychological thriller films. However, it's certainly a harmless film and certainly worth a one-time watch. But you have been warned, this film is not for everyone but I do recommend you have a look at what Nawazuddin Siddiqui has to offer.
