REVIEW

When I first heard of the concept of this movie, I thought this was going to be another cliched and simplified revenge story that all of us have seen a billion times. So, naturally, I was a bit hesitant to watch it. Then I saw the IMDb rating and that broke my logic of the movie. There is no way that the type of revenge story I thought of will have a rating this high. This compelled me to watch it and after watching it, I was blown out of my mind. This movie is the best example of "Never Judge a Book by Its Cover".

Vishal as Sivakumar Kalyanasundaram is the highlight of the movie. He was perfect for such a role and his performance was fantastic. Lakshmi Menon as Malarvizhi Chidambaram was well developed considering she doesn't have much to do in the movie. Sharath Lohitashwa as Simmakkal Ravi is the main antagonist of the movie. His performance was good but he was not as developed as the others. He was intimidating in the action scenes but rest of the movie, he was your average gangster who is trying to find the guy (Vishal and his father Bharathiraja as Kalyanasundaram) trying to kill him. I would have liked the movie movie more or I felt it would have been better for the movie if he was given more development to his character or if they added more qualities to the main antagonist so that we could have been more invested when he eventually dies in the movie.

The best part of the movie is the revenge and its execution. This revenge story is done in a more realistic and practical approach than what the audience is normally used to. There is a lot of focus given to the planning and I very much love that. What I mean is that how they will execute their revenge and how the other executes them, if that fails then what is their plan B, a lot of focus in the second half is given to how they plan their revenge and how it turned out. This is no doubt the strength of the movie.

This film has very unnoticeable negative points. You really have to go very deep into the story and nitpick it to find any negative matter in the film. This implies that the story is very strong and robust. This movie has a very good story, enough said.

In conclusion, this movie is very good and watchable. The casting, the story, the execution, the performance and the character development, every aspect of the movie is surprisingly well done for me. This movie has surpassed all my expectations and justifies its IMDb rating. If you haven't watched it already then don't waste any more time and watch this great movie.
